about

Los Angeles based producer Nick Alvarado and vocalist EVeryman have teamed to form Little Giants, who aim to make proper hip-hop music for your mind, body and soul. Pairing inspired, thought-provoking lyrics set over crisp, funky beats, the sounds of Little Giants harken back to the golden era of hip-hop. This release commemorates the memory of Nick 'Pumpkin' Alvarado, who touched thousands of people with his signature music productions and acclaimed DJ sets at top music festivals and clubs across the US and abroad. He tragically passed away on March 25th 2016, but his generous spirit and magical music will continue to live on.

To honor his memory, Nick's best friend and Little Giants production partner, Evan 'Everyman' Shafran, started The Little Giant Acorn Foundation for The Arts, a non-profit organization that helps children get started in music or the performing arts who otherwise could not afford to do so. Nick absolutely loved to share his passion for music and performance art with the next generation and nothing gave him more joy.

By purchasing this LITTLE GIANTS single you are helping to ensure that Nick's spirit continues to shine while ensuring that the next generations of 'little acorns' have the means to pursue their creative passions. It was always a dream of Nick's to have a record label of his own and to help the youth. It serves as a symbol to our community that Nick 'Pumpkin' Alvarado will never be forgotten and to always let your light shine bright.

Rapparat

Instant Gratification, hip hop immunization
Infants to grown-ups, all across the nation
Inhale some patience, exhale complacence
Positive ways to keep you tuned to this station

man made time, it takes time to make the man
and Everyman don't always see his purpose in the plan
eventually it emerges, just be and understand
patience be the virtue, extend a helping hand

music comes to test, sir i must confess
beautiful vibrations produced from east to west
ladies and gents pitching your tents
past or present, we've come to vent

hellbent, heaven sent, the dough that we spent
on shoes and the rent, it's beginning to end
so we mix in the blend, time to groove round the bend
disbelief we suspend then we do it again

(HOOK)

Takes one small step, or a giant leap for mankind
Keep you enemies close, friends will follow from behind
Unwind, just be yourself and be proud
Get up, stand up, stand out right now

We're all out for a piece of the pie
Even just a small slice, as long as the cost isn't too high
We all wanna live our lives free
Educate minds, find rhythm and rhyme through unity

Two minute warning and we're in it to win it
Think of all the time we've got left on the top while we spin it
Check the rhyme like phife dog, tip and shaheed
We got luck like lucien, kick snarin' the feed

Done, never, this job never ends
Generations divide in a nation that bends
There's always room for improvement, logically
To tell the truth, I am exactly what I want to be

(HOOK)

Begin to see the beauty, begin to see the light
Begin to understand while seeking guidance toward the right
For righteous ways, a thoughtful gaze to show that you do care
An awareness unexplained tapped right into what is there

Mental illustrations provoking our thoughts
Poked on facebook while smoking the pot
Shit or get off, turn your head and please cough
A bonanza of stanzas to stimulate sloths

Not all is lost like causes or socks
Drugs and IDs, wallets and memories
Remember to breathe, just take it from me
Making music with the goal to set our souls free

TV and commercials polluting the airwaves
They make you think at any time we could be facing an air raid
Crossfade over to another chapter
Just another victim of America's fear factor

So move toward the good, the evil's let go
Create a shift throughout the mind, body and soul
We move, we speak through rhythm, our fashion
In an attempt to spread all this love and compassion
